Which fare shall I choose for my trip?

Basic Fare, Optima Fare, Family Fare or TimeFlex Fare; we have a fare for every type of traveller. Not sure which one is best for you? It all depends on whether you want the cheapest option, whether you're checking in a bag, whether you're travelling with kids or whether you need flexibility to be able to change your flights. This guide will help you make the right choice.

In any case, remember that with Vueling, unlike other airlines, you are allowed to take a 10 kg cabin bag and underseat bag (which could be a handbag, small backpack or garment carrier, for example), free of charge. Ensuring you travel in comfort is our priority!

Basic Fare - If you're looking for the lowest price

This fare is the cheapest way to fly. If you're planning a quick break and only need hand baggage, this is the fare for you. There'll still be time to add seat selection to sit next to your companion or get extra space, and even to add a bag if you change your mind at the last minute.

Remember that with the Basic Fare you will have to drop off your cabin bag at the check-in desk, unless you book the service that allows you to bring it on board with you.

PS: Take a look at these tips for packing your hand baggage. You'll be surprised how much you can fit in with a little organisation.

Optima Fare – If you want to check in a bag

For example, if you are going away for more than 2 days, or you simply want to take a few extra things with you, this is the best fare because it includes a 25 kg checked bag. Besides, you won't have to worry about liquids because you can simply check them in, and you also get free seat selection so you can travel next to your companion. The Optima Fare also includes 2 items of hand luggage on board (your 10 kg cabin bag and a handbag, for example). For a limited time only, this fare also includes one free date change and free cancellation (Flight Credit).

Family Fare - If you're travelling with the family

If there's one thing for sure, it's that travelling on your own is not the same as travelling with kids. We know that when you take the whole family you want to be able to sit together on the plane and you probably need to take more baggage. No worries! With our Family fare every passenger (except infants under 2) gets a free bag and seat selection. You can also take 2 items of hand luggage on board.

At Vueling we try to make life easier for families, so if your child is under 2 you can take 2 free hold items (pushchair, cradle, cot or booster seat). Besides, you can take your pushchair right up the plane, where we'll take it off you and put it in the hold free of charge, and you get priority boarding.

PS: Take a look at these tips for flying with infants.

TimeFlex Fare – If you need to be flexible about times

We've created this fare specially for people who travel for work or fly frequently and want to be able to change the time of their flight, even on the same day, without having to pay a surcharge. All you'll pay is the difference in fare. With this option, unlike the others, we won't charge you for the change.

The TimeFlex fare also means that you save time because it includes fast track (at the airports where available) and priority boarding, so you'll be the first on the plane with guaranteed space for your hand baggage. With this fare you can also board with 2 items of hand luggage.

Plus, it doesn't only include unlimited flight changes: you can also cancel your booking and get a refund in the form of a Flight Credit.

Our aim is make your travel experience smooth and hassle-free!
