Avios are like virtual currency. You collect them when you book flights (with Vueling and Iberia), and with Vueling’s partners, and you can use them to get discounts on your flights!
In other words, Avios are like the points you get at the supermarket every time you shop and scan your loyalty card, but there is a difference: you don’t only get Avios for booking with Vueling or Iberia – you also get them when you make other daily purchases. The good thing is that you don’t have to be a frequent flyer to collect Avios, and you’ll be able to do things like add a bag or choose a seat in your next booking, free of charge, or you can get a discount on the total price. What do I have to do to collect Avios?
1. First, you need to join Vueling Club
It’s free and you won’t have to carry a physical loyalty card with you or anything. If you need to show it to someone at some point, you’ll find it on the Vueling app. Sign up and start to enjoy the benefits of being a member of Vueling Club.
2. Remember to identify yourself as a member of Vueling Club every time you book
This option will appear during the booking process and your details will load automatically. This will speed up the purchasing process!
And another thing – if you just remembered that you flew with Vueling less than 180 days ago and you forgot to log in as a Vueling Club member, you are still in time to retrieve your booking and your Avios. Go to your personal area: Your bookings > Retrieve Avios and bookings.
3. Make purchases and book through Vueling’s partners
Vueling has agreements with lots of companies such as Booking, Airbnb, Vueling Cars, Marriott and more (you can see the full list here). That means that when you make a purchase from or book with these partners, you’ll collect Avios. If you need to shop online, you can also go to the Vueling Club eStore (only for spanish residents), where you can access the stores of over 100 brands (El Corte Inglés, FNAC, La Casa del Libro, H&M, Apple, Nike, Douglas, and more). You can identify yourself as a Vueling Club customer and collect Avios for your purchases.
What can I do with my Avios?
It’s very simple: every time you book a flight with Vueling or Iberia, remember to identify yourself as a member of Vueling Club during the booking process, and you’ll be able to see your Avios balance and the applicable discount.
If you already have a booking, you can add extras to improve your flight experience (only when you book on your computer, not on the Vueling app): choose a seat, add a checked bag, take your hand luggage with you on board, etc
