It is easy to dream all four wheels in a city where worldwide fame cars are made. The car culture is very important in Stuttgart, more than anywhere else. Here began their unique trajectories Daimler-Benz and Porsche. We can find two spectacular museums in honor of these brands.

On one side, the ultramodern Mercedes-Benz Museum, which tells the car’s complete history from the beginning without skipping any of the stages. In his futuristic building, you’ll find over 1,500 pieces spread over nine floors documenting its history.

On the other hand, it is located the Porche Museum, in the town of Zuffenhausen. The building causes great admiration because of its architecture, and the fact that it is supported by only three points. It seems to float in the air. Inside, all white, we find rare vehicles and a variety of historical mode.

Also, if your visit to Stuttgart is in March, during the month Retro Classics is celebrated, one of the most beautiful car fair of all Germany, where classic car collectors worldwide met together.

But not only the automotive industry city lives, Ballet, Opera and Theatre are worldwide known. The Great Orchestra of Stuttgart, jazz clubs or two musical theaters in the SI-Centrum Stuttgart provide musical delights to all visitors. In the streets Calwer and Königstrasse will enjoy a mile of world-class stores where to shop. And save your time for another of the great attractions that Stuttgart offers: Wilhelma Park, one of the most beautiful botanical gardens and zoos in Europe.

The Ramones is the most famous punk group of all times and its rebellious and non-conformist image will always be related to the city of New York and the CBGB, the down-at-heel club that shot them to fame in the middle of the 1970s. But the musical world turns in many ways and thanks to a quirk of fate, we have found out that the only museum in the world dedicated to the legendary group of Joey, Johnny, Tommy and Dee Dee is in fact in the back room of a bar in Berlin.

This adventure of epic proportions can trace its roots back to almost two decades ago, when Flo Haylerdecided to invite the public to view his collection of Ramones photos and t-shirts to the public. He never thought that such a kitsch idea would turn his dining room into an “official” museum and that he would be visited by tens of thousands of fans from all corners of the world.

But what can you see in this museum? In short: everything and more. You will learn about the history of the Ramones from their beginnings to their break up through hundreds of photos, videos and a host of posters from their tours. In addition, the permanent exhibition has the attraction that it mainly concentrates on the tours the band did in Germany and the famous visit they made in 1989 that coincided with the fall of the Berlin Wall. Also worth a mention is the small stage where rock concerts are held and its bar is a regular haunt of famous musicians passing through the city (including: Pearl Jam, Social Distortion, The Subways and many more).

About 600 kilometers, from Bremen to Hanau, through charming villages and enchanted forests that will take you to an atmosphere from the 19th century and the landscapes where the main characters from the fairy tales lived adventures and misadventures.

The route follows emblematic sites like Hanau, the city where Jacob & Wilhelm Grimm, the worldwide famous writers who create the most well known fairytales, were born. At the center of the Market Square, in Hanau, there is a significant monument in their honor.

The trip also passes by Kassel, the route’s main village, where many of the fairytales take place and you can also find a museum dedicated to the Grimm brothers, the Sababurg castle in Hofgeismar – linked to the Sleeping Beauty’s tale -, Bremen – from Town Musicians of Bremen -, the city of Polle – where the story of Cinderella takes place – or the city of Hamelin, where the famous flutist enchanted kids and rats with his music.

This route is especially recommended for families but also to grownups that retain their childhood’s spirit. Get ready to this magic trip that starts with a “Once upon a time…”
