Tram 28
14 April, 2014
One of the best ways for a quick and easy tour of the city of Lisbon is to hop on one of the trams.
The red trams with special services for tourists are much more expensive, but for just €1.50 you can hop on and off of the lovely old yellow trams with wooden seats and visit all the city’s unmissable spots.
The most famous of the trams is the number 28, which will whisk you away on an unforgettable tour of approximately one hour, passing the Sao Bento Palace, Sé Cathedral, Castelao Sao Jorge and through the most typical districts in the city: Estrela, Barrio Alto, Chiado, Baixa, Alfamya and Graca. The streets it runs through are sometimes very narrow leaving the driver, with the help of his passengers, to move some of the badly parked cars out of the tram’s path.
