Of all the music festivals that take place in September, Lollapalooza Berlin is, probably, the largest and most popular. Originally from the United States, Lollapalooza has been held in this German city since 2015 and is almost every bit as good as its older brother, because great names in the music scene such as Radiohead, Foo Fighters and Muse have performed there.
- When is it?
Let's refresh your memory: the festival will be held on 8 and 9 September, 2018. No time at all!
- Where will it take place?
The concerts will take place in the Olympic Stadium in Berlin and its surroundings. You can get there with the U2 metro line (U-Bahn) or the S3 train line (S-Bahn). In addition, if you dare to go there by bike, you can leave it in the special car parks that the organisation make available to the attendees.
- What awaits me there?
2 nights, 6 stages and more than 45 concerts of all kinds: pop, indie, electronic, among others. Here, as in other festivals, the difficult part is that your favourite groups do not overlap so you can see everything. In addition, Lollapalooza has an outdoor art gallery, a space dedicated to eco-friendly initiatives, a lot of food stalls for when hunger strikes and even a space for children: the Kidzpalooza.
- Where to sleep
This festival has no campsite, but Berlin is a city that offers hundreds of budget accommodation options if you know where to look. The alternative district of Kreuzberg is a favourite with younger tourists, especially for its lively nightlife and the great shopping possibilities and hotel offering.
- How do I get to Berlin from the airport?
Several urban bus lines connect the airport to the city. In addition, there is also an express bus line that reaches the central Alexanderplatz.
The best music awaits you at Lollapalooza Berlin 2018!
