The trees have turned yellow and golden. Autumn has suddenly arrived and we think that the best way to make the most of it is by travelling! Today we would like to invite you to travel in autumn and discover our favourite destinations.
- Munich, Germany
The Bavarian city becomes melancholic and nostalgic, but full of life, in autumn. The weather in Munich is still nice in autumn, although we can't guarantee that there won't be a shower or two. There are lots of gardens in the city, and around it you can find huge forests that are tinged with gold, creating a scenery that looks straight out of a fairy tale.
- Athens, Greece
Although tourists mostly visit Athens in summer, there are many good reasons to visit the city in autumn. In summer it's nearly 40 degrees, but in September, October and November it's cool enough to go for a walk without getting too hot or too cold. There are fewer tourists this time of year and the prices are more affordable. Autumn is definitely the best time to discover this city!
- Brussels, Belgium
In autumn there is a very special way of visiting some of the museums in the capital of Belgium. Every Thursday until 6 December up to 70 museums are open from 5pm to 10pm and offer tickets at a very special price: just €4! The museums that open late rotate each week, but the team organising the event, called Brussels Museums Nocturnes, assures that every Thursday you'll be able to find at least five museums open.
- Budapest, Hungary
A trip to Budapest is always a great idea, but if you do it in autumn you'll avoid crowds and the weather isn't too hot or too cold. This city is famous all over the world for its thermal baths, and some say that if you bathe when it's cold, it's a unique and refreshing experience. But if you don't really fancy bathing in outdoor thermal baths when the temperature is below zero, it might be a good idea to try it in autumn!
